Job Description

Make a lasting impact by supporting students' success as an Occupational Therapist in a welcoming school environment near Warren, ME. This contract opportunity provides the chance to work closely with students in a collaborative educational setting, focusing on enhancing their daily school experience through occupational therapy services. Enjoy a flexible schedule, with onsite services required just one day per week—the school is happy to accommodate your preferred day. You'll partner with staff at a single location, serving approximately 11 students with a balanced mix of direct therapy (4 hours) and time for indirect paperwork and documentation.
Key qualifications and experience:
Hold current Occupational Therapy licensure for Maine (Maine OT certification required) Prior experience working in school-based or pediatric settings is strongly preferred Strong ability to assess and address students' fine motor, sensory, and functional needs Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach to partnering with educators and families Committed to compliance, documentation, and providing high-quality services to meet students' IEP goals In this role, your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering individualized occupational therapy for students with diverse needs Maintaining accurate and timely documentation according to school and legal guidelines Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families Offering recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive strategies Ensuring therapy aligns with best practices and current school policies The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 11, 2027.
