School Occupational Therapist | Bellevue, Michigan

Job Description

A rewarding opportunity awaits those passionate about making a difference in students lives as an Occupational Therapist! Support children and educational teams in a school setting through a contract position located near Bellevue, MI. The assignment is set for a maternity leave cover with the possibility of extension, from November 5, 2026, through February 15, 2027. This role will have you working 37.5 hours per week. Preference is given to onsite therapists, but virtual (VOCO) candidates will also be considered.
Required Qualifications:
Current, active Michigan OT license (present a screenshot or copy upon application) Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in school environments Ability to conduct functional assessments and deliver tailored interventions Comfortable collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills Must successfully complete Michigans professional license verification process
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services to students, supporting access to curriculum and fostering independence Develop individualized treatment plans based on IEP requirements Document progress and communicate results with staff and parents/guardians Consult with teachers and school professionals regarding student needs and accommodations Attend and participate in IEP meetings as required Deliver services onsite or virtually, per district needs
