Position Type:

Full-Time, In-Person Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide support throughout the district, predominantly at the elementary level, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity to help students develop the skills needed to succeed in the classroom and school environment while collaborating with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy services to students throughout the district, primarily serving elementary-aged students. Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students' functional and educational needs. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and IEP goals. Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student success. Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with district and state requirements. Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, self-care, and classroom participation skills.

Qualifications:

Current Michigan Occupational Therapist license. Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with students with diverse educational and developmental needs.
