Key Qualifications:

Valid Michigan licensure as an Occupational Therapist Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred Understanding of IEP processes and experience collaborating with teachers and support staff Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to motivate, engage, and support students of varying abilities and backgrounds

Responsibilities:

Provide direct, in-person OT services to students according to IEP goals Conduct assessments, evaluate student needs, and develop personalized therapy plans Monitor progress, adapt interventions as needed, and maintain detailed records Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support Offer recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing planning for student success Educate staff and families on strategies to reinforce skills outside of therapy sessions Seize the chance to work in an encouraging school environment that values your dedication and skills.
