Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based occupational therapy opportunity near Ballwin, MO! This contract assignment involves working with students across three schools within the Hazelwood District, offering the chance to make a real difference in diverse learning environments. You'll collaborate closely with fellow professionals and school staff to provide comprehensive OT services, helping students achieve their fullest potential.
Responsibilities include:
Providing occupational therapy evaluations and direct services for students from elementary through high school. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all sessions and progress notes. Working alongside teachers, families, and other service providers to ensure a holistic approach to care. Traveling between three campuses as part of the weekly schedule (Barrington Elementary, North Middle School, West High School). Participating in IEP meetings and supporting interdisciplinary initiatives.
Desired skills and experience:
Current, active Occupational Therapist license in Missouri is required. Previous experience in a school-based OT role is highly preferred. Ability to manage caseloads spanning multiple grade levels and campuses. Strong communication, organization, and time management skills. Must complete fingerprinting and provide a TCN number to the district for credentialing. Willingness to sign and submit required technology-related documentation. Enjoy the stability and fulfillment of a full school-year assignment, with 37.5 hours per week guaranteed from now through late May.
