An exciting contract opportunity awaits a seasoned occupational therapist with strong school-based experience and expertise in North Carolina educational settings. This full-time, on-site role begins approximately 30 days from offer and follows a year-round track, supporting schools on the western side of Wake County. Qualifications and Skills Active OT license from the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT) Post-graduate OT degree required; Masters degree strongly preferred Demonstrated experience in school-based therapy, with NC school experience ideal Familiarity with ECATS and IEPs essential Proficient in conducting motor screenings and school-based OT evaluations Skilled in use and interpretation of Sensory Processing Measure2 (SPM-2) and Sensory Profile 2 Comfortable employing standardized assessments and relating results to educational needs Ability to document services thoroughly and collaborate with educational teams NPI number and NC Tracks registration (must be completed before start) Completion of DCDEE fingerprinting and district background checks Responsibilities Manage a full-time caseload, working across elementary, middle, and high school settings Deliver direct therapy and consultations as part of a collaborative educational team Conduct assessments, interpret results within the school context, and develop student goals Maintain comprehensive service documentation and participate in IEP development Regularly reassess student needs and adapt interventions accordingly Discuss workload and sites during prescreening to ensure alignment Why youll love this opportunity Experience professional growth within a supportive district using a workload model that recognizes individual strengths.
