Job Description

Overview The Occupational Therapist provides Occupational Therapy Services by evaluating patients, establishing and implementing effective treatment plans with functional treatment goals, providing patient education and exercise/activity programs, constructing appropriate orthotic devices and educating in use of adaptive equipment. Position will be responsible for observing, evaluating and documenting the results of treatment interventions and modify treatment plan accordingly. The therapists will also be involved in team dynamics and participate in interdisciplinary activities. Position provides age specific direct patient care according to the unit's scope of service and therapists maybe required to support other WakeMed rehab areas within the continuum of care.
