Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by stepping into a full-time, contract occupational therapy opportunity serving local schools near Kannapolis, NC. This maternity leave coverage runs from now through January 31, 2028 (tentative), offering a chance to deliver vital care in a collaborative, school-based setting. As an itinerant OT, you'll work across various educational environments, helping students thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications & Experience:
Must hold an active North Carolina Occupational Therapy license (please provide a recent license snapshot with your application) Previous experience as a school-based OT preferred Familiarity with ECATS documentation/software is a plus Ability to adapt quickly in dynamic K-12 settings Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
What You'll Do:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Conduct assessments and develop goal-driven treatment plans for a diverse caseload Travel between multiple school sites within the district as needed Document services accurately in ECATS, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes Contribute expertise to IEP meetings and support district initiatives
