Job Description

. Overview This Inpatient Psychiatry position is 32 hours per week. The Dartmouth Health benefit's package starts the first day of employment. Works on an inpatient adult psychiatric unit, evaluating and treating referred patients and leading and facilitating therapeutic groups on the unit.

Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting, addressing psychosocial, functional, sensory, and physical needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate treatment activities, promote functional independence, and support discharge planning. Facilitate and assist with therapeutic groups focused on coping skills, stress management, ADLs/IADLs, community reintegration, and other patient-centered goals. Utilize evidence-based assessment tools. Delegates tasks to support personnel.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with NH eligibility
  • BLS certification required
  • Certified Occupational Therapist (OTR) required at hire, renewal optional.
