Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in the PreK-8th grade range as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This full-time role is based near Fairview, NJ, working collaboratively across four nearby sites—two located across the street from each other, and two others just a short distance away. You'll join a team of two Occupational Therapists sharing a caseload of 60 students, making a genuine impact through direct therapy and evaluations. Ideal candidates thrive in school environments and are comfortable working with a diverse age group. A commitment to fostering student independence and development is key.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license for New Jersey Prior experience working as an OT in school settings Skilled in managing a caseload of PreK-8th grade students At least one OT must be qualified to complete evaluations Excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with educators and families Organizational skills to ensure compliance with IEPs and timely documentation
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive OT assessments and evaluations for students as needed Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs Provide direct therapy services and consult with teachers, parents, and other professionals Maintain accurate records and documentation for IEP meetings and compliance Travel between four close-knit sites as determined by scheduling Support students in achieving their fullest potential in daily school activities This role offers the chance to make an immediate and lasting difference in the lives of young learners while working alongside another dedicated OT.
