Hold a valid New Jersey School Occupational Therapist certificate Hold a certification by the the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBOTC). Hold a current CPR certification and a current Basic First Aid certification. Show evidence of successful occupational therapy experience and experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting. Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary. Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and the interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, the community, and health and social service agencies. Demonstrate an understanding of current rules and regulations regarding Child Study Teams and special education assessment and program requirements.
