Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students across southern New Mexico. This position calls for a motivated and flexible Occupational Therapistor experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)to serve a diverse caseload in a long-standing school partnership. This onsite role spans the full academic year and requires travel between various schools, providing services to children and adolescents in a dynamic educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
Active New Mexico state licensure (NMRLD) and NMPED certification (or eligibility and willingness to obtain certification prior to the start date) Previous school-based OT experience preferred; COTAs with strong backgrounds also considered Must be comfortable supervising COTAs as part of the service delivery model Ability and willingness to travel to multiple sites and work with students of all ages Flexible, collaborative, and proactive communication skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions to help students succeed academically and functionally Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, families, and other professionals Travel as required between campuses, ensuring comprehensive coverage district-wide Supervise and support COTAs to maintain high-quality therapy standards This area offers a welcoming community, beautiful landscapes, and proximity to natural landmarks like White Sands National Park.
