9675386-87010 Job Description A fulfilling opportunity awaits an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with a virtual OT supervisor to work in a vibrant 7th-12th grade charter school setting, located near Cerrillos, NM. This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference, providing essential OT services to students on a school campus with a flexible and supportive schedule.

Responsibilities:

Deliver 6+ hours of direct therapy services to students weekly, with additional indirect hours as needed, for a total commitment of approximately 10 hours per week. Conduct student assessments and develop individualized intervention plans to foster students motor, sensory, and functional skills. Collaborate closely with school staff, teachers, and families to coordinate therapy goals tailored to students' educational needs. Maintain accurate records of student progress, therapy sessions, and required documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines. Participate in school meetings and IEP planning as needed, sharing professional insights to enhance student outcomes. Ensure all therapy is provided on-site between the flexible hours of 9am-3pm.

Qualifications:

Current Occupational Therapist License in New Mexico (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential, with access to a virtual OT supervisor if COTA. Valid NMPED licensure. Previous experience in school, home health, or healthcare OT settings strongly preferred. Skill in working with adolescents in grades 7-12 and adapting therapy to diverse student needs.
