The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students with a variety of physical, sensory, developmental, and educational needs. Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assessments for students in PreK through 8th grade.
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans and IEP goals.
• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services within the school environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student success.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, sensory supports, and environmental modifications.
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing as required.
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations. Qualifications Required
• Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license through the New Mexico Regulation & Licensing Department (RLD).
• Current NBCOT certification.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain any required New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) school-based credentials.
• Ability to pass state, federal, and district background checks.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Preferred
• Previous school-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience.
• Experience working with students receiving special education services.
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation. Benefits
