Job Description

Start an impactful new chapter as an Occupational Therapy professional near the beautiful landscapes of southern New Mexico. This rewarding school-based contract role supports students' growth and independence across several local campuses, with the opportunity to work throughout the full academic year. Key Qualifications and Experience:
Active NM state licensure (NMRLD) and NMPED certification (or ability to secure NMPED promptly) Experience in a school setting, working with preschool to high school ages Open to OTs and COTAs (must be willing to supervise COTA(s) as needed) Flexibility and willingness to travel between multiple schools within the district Dedication to supporting a diverse student population and collaborating with staff and families Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with students' IEPs Assess, plan, and implement individualized intervention strategies to enhance student participation and success Supervise and mentor COTAs, ensuring consistent quality of care and support Document services and progress in compliance with state and federal guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams Travel to multiple school sites as assigned to serve caseload needs This contract position provides a consistent schedule throughout the full school year in a welcoming and resource-rich setting.
