Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an exciting role supporting students as a part-time Occupational Therapist, where your expertise will have a direct and lasting impact. This contract opportunity allows you to work 2-3 days a week, sharing your knowledge and skills across both a middle school and a high school setting. You'll empower young learners to develop vital life and academic skills, contributing to their overall success within the school community.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous experience in school-based OT settings, especially with adolescent populations Strong communication abilities with students, families, and staff Knowledge of IEP development and delivering therapy aligned with educational goals Adaptability working with diverse needs in a dynamic educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' needs and design personalized intervention plans Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy to support students' functional and academic performance Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to implement strategies in classrooms and at home Document progress and maintain accurate, timely records per educational requirements Travel between the middle and high school to provide consistent and coordinated care Participate in IEP meetings and provide insight into student progress and recommendations
