Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of New York Prior experience working with school-aged children or within an educational setting preferred Strong knowledge of assessing and developing individualized interventions to support students academic and social development Exceptional communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs and learning styles Dedication to fostering growth, independence, and inclusion in a school community

Your Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students sensory, motor, and functional skills Develop, implement, and track progress for individualized treatment plans in coordination with educators and families Provide direct and consultative OT services to students, addressing academic and daily life skills Maintain clear documentation and reports per school and regulatory guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insights on student needs and accommodations Offer resources and training to teachers and parents as appropriate Remain current with best practices, maintaining licensure and professional development
