This contract assignment spans from Tuesday, September 8, 2026, through Friday, October 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension. Your expertise will be vital in empowering students at a thriving elementary school, fostering their independence and enhancing their ability to participate fully in classroom activities.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Occupational Therapist license for New York State Previous experience as an OT in an educational or pediatric setting Strong knowledge of school-based therapy practices and IEP implementation Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Ability to adapt therapeutic interventions to varied student needs Experience with documentation and progress reporting in a school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct 30 half-hour therapy sessions per week with elementary students, spread over three workdays Assess student abilities and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support each childs progress Document session notes, progress, and recommendations in a timely manner Provide guidance and resources to educators and parents for reinforcing OT strategies Participate in staff meetings and IEP discussions as requested This position offers a consistent daytime schedule8:30 AM to 3:30 PMacross three selected days each week, balancing professional commitment and personal time.
