Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a full-time capacity. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, developing personalized care plans, and facilitating rehabilitation to improve functional independence. Your commitment to compassionate care and professional excellence will contribute significantly to our mission of enhancing quality of life for diverse populations. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across multiple settings, including acute care units, skilled nursing facilities, clinics, schools, and home health environments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving activities of daily living (ADLs), motor skills, and functional independence. Assist patients with discharge planning by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions between care levels. Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to specific populations such as geriatrics, and patients recovering from injury or illness. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation, case management, and adherence to medical terminology and physiology principles. Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, safety measures, and adaptive techniques for ongoing support beyond clinical settings. Maintain detailed records of patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes. Skills Proficiency in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and developing effective care plans tailored to individual needs. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and functional assessment techniques. Ability to manage case loads efficiently while providing compassionate patient care across multiple disciplines including speech therapy when applicable. Skilled in discharge planning, case management, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient support. Knowledge of occupational health standards and safety protocols relevant to various clinical settings. $40.00 - $54.00 per hour
