Job Description

Our client, a top privately held spirits/wine company, is currently seeking a Market Sales Manager - Long Island. Must live on Long Island - remote based (not NYC). Generous bonus on top of base salary as well as car allowance and mileage reimbursement. The Market Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering volume, distribution, and merchandising performance across the assigned market covering all channels of business, both on and off-premise. •This role will be field based on Long Island Manage brand portfolio within assigned market Build relationships with and manage on-premise and off-premise accounts as well as Distributor relationships Plan & implement sales programming in all markets Ensure POS and other marketing assets are utilized in the field with correct programs Merchandising and building displays Implement creative programs to activate the consumer, including product sampling and demos Spend time each month surveying the market to ensure that distribution, pricing, POS, displays, programs, menus, and ads are executed to standard Travel within territory to actively engage accounts
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years experience in the wine and spirits industry, including knowledge of premium beverages; strong distributor relationships (they use SGWS) Strong sales and negotiation skills, with expertise in developing and implementing effective sales strategies Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal, including strong presentation skills Organizational skills Ability to work independently with little direction or supervision; "self-starter" Willing to be very "hands-on" to get the job accomplished Proficient in Microsoft suite including Excel, Word, and Power Point Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel within the assigned territory 4.5 to 5 days per week are required. If a personal car is used for business purposes, proof of car insurance will be required. Business-related travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
