Occupational Therapist - Full-Time Contract ND Global Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time, onsite contract opportunity at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Montrose, New York.

Therapy Job Responsibilities:

Evaluate residents' functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy plans. Provide evidence-based interventions focused on activities of daily living, adaptive skills, cognition, safety, and upper-extremity function. Address fine-motor skills, positioning, adaptive techniques, and caregiver education. Perform environmental and room-change assessments, car-transfer training, home visits, and discharge-planning recommendations as assigned. Assess wheelchair seating, cushions, positioning systems, power-wheelchair use, hand orthotics, and adaptive equipment needs. Participate in care-plan meetings and collaborate with residents, families, nursing staff, medical providers, and equipment vendors. Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs). Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, progress, and resident responses.

Requirements:

Current, unrestricted New York State Occupational Therapist license. Minimum 3 years of occupational therapy experience. Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, geriatrics, memory care, wheelchair/seating, or discharge planning is preferred. Ability to complete facility credentialing requirements before starting. Current physical examination and TB/PPD documentation. Strong documentation and communication skills. Ability to maintain resident confidentiality and work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
