New Rochelle, NY (In-Home and Community-Based) About the Position We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to work one-on-one with our 5-year-old son with autism. He is currently nonverbal and is working toward increased independence in daily living skills, sensory regulation, play, fine motor development, and participation in home and community activities. We are looking for a therapist who is passionate about helping children reach their fullest potential while partnering closely with families. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide engaging, child-led, evidence-based occupational therapy sessions in the home and community. Improve fine motor, visual motor, and bilateral coordination skills. Address sensory processing and self-regulation challenges using individualized sensory integration strategies. Promote independence with activities of daily living, including dressing, feeding, toileting readiness, hygiene, and self-care routines. Develop motor planning, play, attention, and executive functioning skills. Create home programs and coach family members on strategies to reinforce progress throughout the day. Document treatment sessions, progress toward goals, and recommendations. Collaborate with speech therapists, ABA providers, physical therapists, physicians, and educators to ensure coordinated care. Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy. Current New York State Occupational Therapy License. Pediatric experience preferred. Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Strong knowledge of sensory processing, sensory integration, and developmental interventions.
