Job Summary Join our team as a Per Diem Occupational Therapist (OT) in Cuyahoga, OH, and make a positive impact on diverse patient populations through flexible, rewarding assignments. In this role, you will deliver high-quality occupational therapy services across various settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, schools, and home health environments. Your expertise will help clients improve their independence and quality of life through tailored treatment plans and compassionate care. Duties Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities and needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practices and client goals. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, and educators to coordinate care. Support discharge planning by preparing clients for transition to home or other care settings with appropriate recommendations. Document clinical progress accurately using electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with medical documentation standards. Provide specialized interventions for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder, as well as pediatric occupational therapy needs. Qualifications Valid occupational therapy license or certification for the state of Ohio. Experience working in diverse environments such as inpatient acute care units, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or school settings. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to occupational therapy assessments and treatment planning. Proven ability to work with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or special education needs. Excellent client communication skills coupled with case management experience to ensure comprehensive patient care. Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical documentation standards. Experience working with pediatric populations in early intervention or school-based settings is highly desirable. Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments while maintaining high standards of patient care.
