Key Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapist license in Ohio (OH OT certification), or eligibility via compact licensure Previous experience in a school-based OT setting or a strong desire to support children and adolescents Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and fellow therapists Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized intervention plans for students with diverse needs Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-12 students across the district Conduct assessments to determine students needs and abilities, creating targeted treatment plans Work closely with educators and families to address barriers to participation and promote student success Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings Provide resources, training, and recommendations to school staff for classroom adaptations and strategies Enjoy the fulfillment of seeing students progress, while benefiting from the structure of a full-time, school-year schedule.
