Educate clients on adaptive techniques and recommend assistive devices to promote independence in daily activities. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop comprehensive care plans aligned with client goals and evidence-based practices. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; licensure or certification as required by state or country regulations. Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities across various settings such as pediatrics, geriatrics, acute care, outpatient clinics, or school environments. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and occupational therapy assessment tools. Experience working with clients with neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorders; familiarity with pediatric occupational therapy is highly desirable. Ability to develop effective treatment plans based on clinical assessments and client needs; proficient in implementing occupational therapy programs. Excellent communication skills for client education, family engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Skilled in medical documentation and electronic health records (EHR) management; attention to detail is essential. Knowledge of evidence-based practices in occupational therapy to ensure optimal patient care outcomes. Ability to work independently while thriving within a collaborative healthcare environment; flexibility across inpatient, outpatient, home health or school settings is preferred.
