1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Adult Rehab Services unit, requiring acute and trauma experience along with a minimum of one year of experience. Details Adult Rehabilitation Services unit within an acute care hospital setting Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week Acute and trauma experience required Travel between units not required Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required Minimum of one year of experience required Current BLS certification from AHA required upon hire Oklahoma OT license required if applicable Strong knowledge of OT principles, practices, and treatment planning Good interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients and staff Basic computer skills required Additional Information Perform occupational therapy evaluations, treatment planning, and implementation under physician direction Interpret physician referrals and select appropriate standardized evaluation procedures Design and fabricate adaptive equipment and orthotic devices as needed Assist with discharge planning including equipment ordering and home therapy instruction May supervise students Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible Compliance documentation and onboarding must begin immediately upon offer due to strict facility deadlines Facility requires at least 4 weeks between offer and start date for compliance clearance Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying
