Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist (PRN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in occupational therapy across diverse settings and populations, demonstrating expertise in developing treatment plans, conducting assessments, and delivering patient-centered care. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' quality of life through evidence-based practices and collaborative care. Duties Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' functional abilities and needs. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's goals, medical condition, and developmental level. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence. Implement occupational therapy programs across settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, home health, schools, and skilled nursing facilities. Support discharge planning by coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth transitions between care settings. Document clinical findings accurately within electronic health records (EHR) and maintain thorough medical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with clients, families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Provide education on neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders and support clients with disabilities or special education needs. Experience Proven experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or in occupational therapy settings. Demonstrated expertise in assisting with ADLs and developing treatment plans for diverse populations including geriatrics and adult patients in acute or post-acute care environments. Experience working within outpatient clinics, inpatient units (including ICU), skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, or school-based programs. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy assessments and interventions. Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical documentation standards related to occupational therapy practice. Strong case management skills with experience supporting discharge planning and implementing occupational therapy programs for patients with complex needs. Ability to communicate effectively with clients of all ages and backgrounds while fostering interprofessional collaboration.
