The people you work with matter. They shape the therapist you become. That's why we've intentionally created the kind of workplace we believe in. A place where pediatric occupational therapists have the time and support to become exceptional clinicians. Where asking questions is encouraged, collaboration is part of everyday practice, and learning never stops. Where children are understood before they're judged, and families feel seen, supported, and empowered. Where coworkers celebrate your successes, help you think through the hard cases, and make coming to work something you genuinely look forward to. We work hard. We think deeply. We celebrate small wins. We laugh often. And we genuinely enjoy doing this work together. If you're looking for more than just your next job—if you're looking for a place to grow, belong, and do meaningful work—we'd love to meet you. About Children's Therapy Center Children's Therapy Center is a pediatric occupational therapy practice serving children and families in Carmel and San Jose, California. We provide neurodiversity-affirming occupational therapy that supports sensory processing, emotional regulation, executive functioning, motor development, feeding, self-care, social participation, and family well-being. We believe pediatric occupational therapy is about understanding children, not changing who they are. The children who come to us are often described as "challenging," "sensitive," "rigid," "distracted," "behavioral," or "picky." Our job is to look deeper.
We ask:
- What is this child communicating?
- What is their nervous system experiencing?
- What strengths are being overlooked?
- How can we support participation without asking them to become someone they're not?
Those questions shape everything we do. Our work is grounded in relationships, nervous system regulation, sensory processing, development, attachment, family collaboration, and neurodiversity-affirming practice. What You'll Do As a pediatric occupational therapist at Children's Therapy Center, you'll: Evaluate and treat infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents in our outpatient pediatric clinic Partner closely with families through ongoing parent coaching and education Develop individualized treatment plans that honor each child's strengths and unique needs Collaborate with an experienced team of pediatric occupational therapists Participate in mentorship, case discussions, and continuing education Help create meaningful, engaging therapy experiences that support participation in everyday life What Working Here Actually Looks Like You'll have time to think. Time to collaborate. Time to learn. You'll be surrounded by coworkers who genuinely enjoy discussing sensory processing, neurodiversity, development, attachment, co-regulation, executive functioning, and all the wonderfully complex things that make children human. You'll never be expected to know everything. Questions are welcomed. Mentorship is part of our culture. Clinical reasoning is something we build together. You'll work with families who are looking for understanding, partnership, and meaningful support—not quick fixes. Who Thrives Here The therapists who thrive here are often: ✓ Deeply curious ✓ Reflective ✓ Relationship-focused ✓ Excited by complex clinical reasoning ✓ Passionate about understanding behavior through a developmental and nervous system lens ✓ Committed to neurodiversity-affirming practice They're often the therapists who found themselves asking bigger questions after graduate school. Who wanted to understand children more deeply. Who believe the best therapy begins with curiosity. What We Offer Full-time and part-time pediatric occupational therapist positions New graduate occupational therapists are encouraged to apply Structured mentorship and collaborative clinical support Clinic-based and school-based opportunities Competitive compensation and benefits Opportunities for continuing education and professional growth A collaborative, supportive team culture Beautiful clinic locations in Carmel and San Jose, California We'd Love to Meet You If you're looking for a workplace where productivity is the only thing that matters, we probably aren't the right fit. But if you're looking for a team that values children, families, relationships, learning, curiosity, and clinical excellence, we'd love to hear from you. Send us a resume and cover letter. Tell us what drew you to pediatric occupational therapy, what excites you about working with children, and the kind of therapist you hope to become. We can't wait to meet you.
