Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential occupational therapy services to diverse patient populations across various settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, inpatient facilities, and home health environments. Your expertise will help individuals of all ages enhance their independence, improve daily functioning, and achieve their personal goals. This could become a full-time postion later if desired. Responsibilities Assess patients' functional abilities through comprehensive evaluations, including analysis of physiology, anatomy, and medical history Develop personalized care plans targeting activities of daily living (ADLs), motor skills, cognitive functions, and sensory processing Assist patients with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings Work with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder to implement therapeutic strategies tailored to their needs Conduct therapy sessions in various environments including outpatient clinics, schools, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health visits Engage in case management activities to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques to support ongoing improvement Qualifications Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the respective jurisdiction Prior experience working with birth-3 year old is a plus. Demonstrated experience with early intervention programs and pediatric populations including school-based therapy Familiarity with post-acute care environments like skilled nursing facilities and home health services Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care principles Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus Ability to develop effective care plans and engage in case management activities effectively Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients and families Join us in delivering compassionate occupational therapy services that transform lives!
