Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing occupational therapy services to students for a short-term assignment near East Providence, RI. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled school-based OT seeking a flexible schedule while supporting a dedicated learning environment. You'll deliver essential therapy services to help students reach their full potential, covering a medical leave for 6-12 weeks, one day per week.
What you bring:
Active OT license in Rhode Island Previous experience in a school-based setting (Grades 6-12 experience preferred) Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, educators, and families Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans and documentation Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse student needs on a part-time, short-term basis Role responsibilities: Provide direct OT services to students in grades 6-12, focusing on enhancing participation and performance in school activities Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and execute IEP goals Assess students' needs and monitor progress through ongoing evaluation and documentation Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of accommodations and modifications Promote student independence in academics, daily activities, and social participation As part of this assignment, you'll enjoy a highly flexible schedule—working just one day a week—allowing you to balance other personal or professional commitments.
