Job Description
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and multidisciplinary teams Ability to develop and implement IEP goals (Individualized Education Programs) Familiarity with best practices for school-based therapy and progress documentationRole Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify student needs related to fine/gross motor skills, self-care, and sensory integration Develop and deliver targeted interventions integrated into students' daily routines Collaborate with teachers and staff, providing strategies and accommodations to support classroom participation Monitor and report on student progress, adapting plans as necessary Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights on student abilities and progress Engage with families, providing education and resources to promote carryover of skills This opportunity provides the chance to make a lasting, positive impact within the school community while honing your professional skills among dedicated educators.
