Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a contracted Occupational Therapist in a vibrant educational environment near Abbeville, SC. Use your expertise to empower young learners to develop essential skills, make academic progress, and navigate school life more successfully. This role will enable you to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and fellow specialists, fostering progress and growth for each individual student.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current, valid state licensure appropriate for school-based OT practice Experience working with children and adolescents in school or pediatric settings Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal-setting Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with staff and families Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to fit a variety of needs and learning styles
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans for school-based OT services Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy, targeting fine motor, sensory, and functional skills Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams to support student learning and inclusion Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings Communicate therapy goals and strategies with parents, caregivers, and educators Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student independence and confidence Experience flexibility and growth while making a real difference in the lives of students.
