Occupational Therapist Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Current Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license by anticipated start date New graduates are encouraged to apply Pediatric experience preferred but not required Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus Previous experience supervising COTAs is preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services in accordance with physician-approved Plans of Care Address functional skills including fine motor development, sensory processing, coordination, strength, range of motion, self-care, visual-motor integration, behavioral regulation, and activities of daily living Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
