Per Diem / PRN Occupational Therapist Avir at Montana 10350 Montana Avenue El Paso, TX 79925 Position Summary Avir at Montana is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Per Diem / PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team. The Occupational Therapist will provide skilled evaluation and treatment services to patients with a variety of functional and rehabilitation needs, helping them achieve greater independence, improve daily functioning, and enhance their quality of life. Essential Responsibilities Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans. Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions based on each patient's diagnosis, condition, and goals. Address activities of daily living, strength, coordination, balance, mobility, cognition, and functional performance. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate. Complete accurate and timely evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and home programs. Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings as needed. Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, facility policies, and professional standards. Provide coverage on a PRN/per-diem basis according to facility and patient needs. Qualifications Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Texas . Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Current CPR certification, if required by facility policy. Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting preferred. Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Dependable, flexible, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality patient-centered care.
