What We're Looking For:
Are you a compassionate Occupational Therapist dedicated to empowering students and schools? Here's what you'll need to join our team:
Education:
Master's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Licensure:
Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the Texas Advisory Board of Occupational Therapy (TABOT).
Certification:
CPR certification.
Language Proficiency:
Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
Your Role:
As an Occupational Therapist, you'll play a critical role in helping students improve functional skills and achieve greater independence in their educational environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
Evaluate Needs:
Perform Occupational Therapy assessments to determine students' needs and eligibility for specialized services.
Communicate Findings:
Communicate evaluation findings to parents, educators, and other stakeholders, offering clear, actionable recommendations.
Develop Interventions:
Collaborate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to create evidence-based interventions that promote student participation, access to education, and skill development.
Provide Therapy:
Deliver direct therapy services or oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in implementing IEP goals.
Monitor Progress:
Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and use data to adjust interventions as needed.
Support Team:
Actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students and support their growth. Your expertise and dedication will empower students to develop the skills needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
