In this role, you will evaluate, plan, and administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions to restore daily living and work activities as prescribed by referring physicians. Key Responsibilities Evaluations & Care Plans :
Perform detailed occupational therapy evaluations assessing physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. Develop individualized, measurable care plans executable by OTs and OTAs.
Direct Patient Interventions :
Administer safe, effective treatments including therapeutic exercise, adaptive equipment training, and patient education with timely documentation.
Progress Tracking & Team Collaboration :
Conduct regular reassessments, adjust treatment goals, and communicate updates to referring physicians and interdisciplinary teams (nurses, physicians, rehab specialists).
Diverse Care Delivery :
Apply age- and condition-specific treatment interventions across broad patient populations.
Leadership & Mentorship :
Provide orientation and ongoing mentorship to new clinical staff and occupational therapy students. Compliance &• Environment•: Maintain clean, safe therapy spaces and equipment. Ensure accurate billing and documentation in compliance with EMR protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain reliable attendance and adhere to all facility policies and standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience :
1-3 years of clinical OT experience required (Hospital or rehabilitation facility experience preferred; New Grads are welcome).
Licensure :
Active state board Occupational Therapist (OT/OTR) License required.
Certifications :
Basic Life Support (BCLS/BLS) certification required.
Core Skills :
Strong clinical knowledge of OT principles, EMR system proficiency, excellent communication, organizational abilities, and a commitment to patient privacy (HIPAA) and ethical standards.
