Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Spring/Woodlands area. This vital role involves delivering comprehensive occupational therapy services . in the pediatric setting.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about enhancing patient independence, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal recovery and functional outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our clinic and at ABA centers. Duties Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities and needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving daily living activities (ADLs), motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions Assist patients with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to foster independence Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and case managers to coordinate care strategies Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition back into home or community settings Document patient progress accurately using electronic health records (EHR) management systems and maintain detailed clinical documentation Provide education and training to patients and families on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment use, and strategies for ongoing support Support clients with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders by implementing evidence-based occupational therapy programs tailored to their unique needs Participate in clinical interprofessional collaboration to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal outcomes Experience Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities Hands-on experience in pediatric occupational therapy including early intervention and school-based programs Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and post-acute care practices essential for accurate assessment and treatment planning Demonstrated ability to develop effective care plans that incorporate evidence-based practices for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders or physical rehabilitation needs Experience working with clients requiring assistance with ADLs and discharge planning processes Skilled in medical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) management systems to ensure compliance and continuity of care Strong client communication skills paired with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams Prior involvement in working with students with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Join us in delivering compassionate occupational therapy services that transform lives!
