The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and provides evidence-based occupational therapy services for patients of all ages to improve functional independence, safety, and quality of life. Develops individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals, patient assessments, and clinical best practices while collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team. Occupational Therapist. Flex schedule. CRCH Rehab department. Evaluates patients and develops individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on physician referrals, patient assessments, developmental needs, functional abilities, and medical diagnoses. Provides age-appropriate occupational therapy interventions designed to maximize independence, functional performance, safety, and achievement of established treatment goals. Monitors patient progress, modifies treatment plans as appropriate, and communicates recommendations to patients, families, physicians, and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Documents evaluations, treatment interventions, patient progress, and discharge plans accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory requirements, professional standards, and departmental policies. Collaborates with physicians, therapists, nursing, case management, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) in accordance with Virginia licensure requirements and applicable federal regulations. Provides clinical instruction and guidance to students, new employees, volunteers, support staff, and contract personnel as assigned. Participates in quality improvement initiatives, program development, peer review, committee activities, staff meetings, continuing education, and department projects.What We Require:
Education:
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) accredited program.Experience:
None. 1 year of clinical experience required for Home Health positions. Licensure, Certification, and/orRegistration:
Licensed Occupational Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. AHA BLS-certified.Other Minimum Qualifications:
Strong clinical assessment, communication, interpersonal, customer service, critical thinking, organization, and teamwork skills required. Must be able to provide age-appropriate care across the patient population served. Home Health requires ability to travel between patient locations.
