Occupational Therapist - Part-Time Evaluator MMG Speech & Therapeutic Services, LLC is an established, therapist-owned and operated pediatric clinic in Lakewood, WA. We are looking for a part-time Occupational Therapist to primarily complete pediatric occupational therapy evaluations as part of our collaborative OT and Speech-Language Pathology team. This is a great opportunity for an OT who enjoys the evaluation and diagnostic process and is looking for a flexible position without the demands of maintaining a traditional treatment caseload. Our evaluators have the time and resources needed to complete thorough, individualized assessments. At MMG, we value clinical judgment and want our therapists to be able to make recommendations based on what is appropriate for each individual child and family. What This Position Looks Like The Occupational Therapist Evaluator will primarily be responsible for: Completing comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy evaluations Selecting and administering appropriate standardized and non-standardized assessments Reviewing developmental, medical, educational, and therapy history Identifying functional strengths, challenges, and areas of need Developing individualized recommendations and plans of care when occupational therapy is indicated Writing clear, thorough evaluation reports and completing documentation in a timely manner Communicating evaluation results and recommendations with families Collaborating with MMG's occupational therapists, COTAs, Speech-Language Pathologists, and administrative team Communicating with physicians, schools, and other professionals when appropriate and authorized Providing clinical recommendations to help determine appropriate next steps for each child This position is primarily evaluation-based and does not require maintaining a regular treatment caseload. The evaluator will work on a mutually agreed-upon, predetermined schedule. We are open to discussing the number of evaluations and days worked based on the right candidate's availability. This position may be a particularly good fit for an OT who wants to remain clinically involved while working a limited or flexible weekly schedule. Job Requirements Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current Washington State Occupational Therapist license, or eligibility to obtain one Current CPR certification Ability to successfully complete required background screening Strong written documentation and clinical reasoning skills Ability to independently complete pediatric evaluations and formulate appropriate recommendations Preferred Experience Pediatric occupational therapy experience is preferred Experience evaluating children with autism, developmental delays, sensory processing differences, fine motor delays, self-care/ADL needs, feeding concerns, or other complex developmental needs is a plus Experience with pediatric standardized assessments is preferred New graduates with strong pediatric fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply.
