Duties Conduct detailed inspections of residential properties to assess rehabilitation needs, focusing on building code compliance and safety regulations. Review construction plans, specifications, and schematics to ensure adherence to local building codes and standards. Perform quality control and quality inspection tasks during construction projects, verifying that work meets regulatory requirements and project specifications. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to guide construction teams and ensure accurate implementation of plans. Monitor public infrastructure construction projects related to housing rehabilitation, ensuring compliance with construction regulations and safety protocols. Collect data through site visits, inspections, and documentation processes to support project progress reports and regulatory audits. Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city officials to facilitate smooth construction management and regulatory compliance efforts. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites within civil infrastructure or public works projects, with a focus on housing or building rehabilitation. Strong knowledge of construction regulations, building codes, and safety regulations applicable to residential rehabilitation projects. Demonstrated ability in construction site inspections, quality control, and interpreting technical drawings or schematics. Familiarity with construction management practices including reviewing contracts, construction plans, specifications, and conducting quality inspections. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation, reporting, and data collection purposes. Hands-on experience with public infrastructure construction projects involving pipelines or other civil systems is a plus. Excellent analysis skills for assessing project compliance issues and troubleshooting onsite challenges. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Five (5) years of work experience in the construction field. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving history.
