Overview :
Rehabilitation Aide/Exercise Specialist wanted for outpatient physical therapy clinic
Description :
PT owned private clinic seeking a motivated individual with career goals in physical therapy and healthcare. Work in close supervision and directly with licensed physical therapy staff to assist in the administration of patient therapeutic exercise programs. This position offers opportunities for mentoring and career exploration in the field of Physical Therapy. The practice owner has extensive teaching and clinical experience and has mentored many individuals interested in developing a career in healthcare.
Job Requirements :
Guiding patients through individualized therapeutic exercise programs as prescribed by a licensed Physical Therapist Instruct patients in proper form/technique throughout the entirety of their program Provide a patient who may be a fall risk with contact guard as needed Apply heat/ice to assigned body part when applicable Change pillow cases, spray/wipe down treatment tables and ALL exercise equipment following each individual use Organize towels and pillowcases, put weights, T-band and other exercise equipment in its designated place Refill lotion and spray bottles as needed Keep up with laundry throughout shift Assist in clerical duties (i.e. answering phones, scheduling patients, etc.) when not busy with patients.
  • Clinical work takes priority. Clerical tasks should be performed when not needed by PT/PTA
  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Sports, and/or Physical Education is a plus
  • 1 year experience as Rehabilitation Aide/Exercise Specialist or in related field HIGHLY recommended
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
