1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Long Term Care position in Worcester, MA, requiring at least 1 year of OTA experience in an LTC or SNF setting. Details Long Term Care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unit Day shift, 8-hour shifts No weekend requirements No on-call requirements 13-week assignment Requirements Minimum of 1 year of OTA experience required LTC or SNF setting experience required Active OTA license required if applicable New graduates accepted if they completed Level II fieldwork experience (not just Level I observation) One reference required for consideration Additional Information Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Administer treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising OT to adjust treatment plans Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics Maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO)
