Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team at a Day Habilitation Program in Dayton, New Jersey. This position is ideal for a COTA who values one-on-one patient care, a consistent weekday schedule, and the opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships with the individuals they serve. Position Highlights

  • Guaranteed 40-hour work week

  • Monday-Friday daytime schedule
  • Primary patient-care hours between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM

  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Responsibilities The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and provide individualized occupational therapy services in accordance with each individual's established plan of care.
Responsibilities include:
  • Provide one-on-one occupational therapy treatment
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising OT
  • Support functional independence in ADLs, mobility, fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing
  • Accurately document treatment sessions and patient progress in a timely manner
  • Communicate changes in patient status to the supervising OT
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, caregivers, and day program staff
  • Maintain professional, ethical, and compliant documentation practices
  • Follow all applicable clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards Qualifications
  • Current New Jersey COTA license
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current CPR certification preferred
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
  • Experience or interest in working with adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply

PM Location:
Dayton, New Jersey At 40 hours per week, the position provides approximately $72,800 in annual base compensation, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, holidays, health insurance contribution, continuing education support, and retirement plan options.
