Educational Aide - Medina County Career Center Make a Difference in a Student's Life Every Day Do you enjoy working with children and helping them succeed? We're looking for compassionate, dependable individuals who are passionate about supporting students as they learn, grow, and become more independent. As an Educational Aide, you'll work alongside teachers and school staff to provide individualized support to students, encourage positive social interactions, and help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Every day offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. What You'll Do Support students to achieve their greatest potential, learn to become independent, make successful transitions and to interact with their peers as directed by the classroom teacher. Encourage independence while providing individualized assistance. Foster positive relationships and appropriate peer interactions. Assist with classroom activities and instructional support. Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals to support student success. Transport students when needed after obtaining required certification. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED. Valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit (or ability to obtain one before employment). Experience working with students with disabilities in the classroom. Valid Ohio driver's license. Ability to obtain Van Driver Certification within six (6) weeks of employment. Ability to obtain ParaPro/ESEA Certification within six (6) weeks of employment. Background in sports medicine or exercise science is a plus but not required. Successful completion of required criminal background checks. A caring attitude, patience, flexibility, and a desire to help students succeed.
