Holy Martyrs Clock Full Time Cross Holy Martyrs Fill 1100 Medina, OH Position Summary The Life Teen Youth Ministry Coordinator will lead and develop the parish's high school youth ministry, creating opportunities for teens to encounter Christ, grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and become active participants in the life of the Church. The coordinator will oversee weekly Life Teen programming, discipleship, retreats and outreach, sacramental preparation support, volunteer formation, and communication with teens, families, volunteers, and parish leadership. Primary Responsibilities Life Teen Program Leadership Plan and execute weekly Life Teen Masses and LIFE Nights in alignment with the Life Teen curriculum and parish mission. Recruit, form, and support a team of Core Members (adult volunteers) to assist in ministry leadership. Maintain the Life Teen spiritual development framework, balancing evangelization, catechesis, community, and prayer. Oversee sacramental preparation support for high school teens, including Confirmation of older teens and OCIA when needed. Discipleship & Relationship Building Build authentic, Christ-centered relationships with high school youth and their families. Develop small-group discipleship opportunities to deepen teens' personal faith. Identify and accompany teens who demonstrate leadership potential for peer ministry. Collaborate with middle school youth ministry to support smooth transitions into the high school program. Events, Retreats & Outreach Organize and lead overnight retreats, lock-ins, service projects, and diocesan events. Coordinate participation in diocesan youth events and national Life Teen gatherings. Develop outreach strategies to engage inactive or unchurched teens in the parish community. Partner with Catholic schools and local public schools to broaden ministry outreach. Administration & Communication Manage the youth ministry budget responsibly and in consultation with parish leadership. Maintain regular communication with parents, Core Members, and parish staff through newsletters, social media, and ministry apps. Ensure all safe environment protocols, including VIRTUS/Protecting God's Children requirements, are followed for volunteers and ministry activities. Prepare annual goals, program reports, and evaluations for parish leadership. Required Qualifications Active, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church. Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Education, Ministry, or a related field, or equivalent ministry experience. Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the Life Teen model of youth ministry. Minimum of two years of experience in youth ministry, campus ministry, or a related role. Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as ministry activities require. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect authentically with teenagers and adults. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Successful completion of all required diocesan safe environment training and background checks. Preferred Qualifications Completion of Life Teen leadership training. Experience leading retreats, including parish-based overnight retreats. Proficiency with ministry communication platforms such as Ministry Platform. Experience in music ministry or willingness to incorporate contemporary Catholic worship music. The successful candidate will combine strong organizational and leadership skills with a genuine ability to mentor young people, develop adult volunteers, and collaborate effectively with parish leadership and other ministry partners. Schedule & Availability This role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on the Life Teen ministry schedule, including Masses, LIFE Nights, retreats, service projects, and other youth ministry events.
