ReMed, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner is a growing organization dedicated to excellence, honesty and ethics in treating our clients and each other. For more than 40 years, we've developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries. We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries. Benefits include, but are not limited to: Comprehensive benefit package (medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k) and more) Tuition Assistance Referral Bonus We are searching for a Full-Time Cognitive Rehabilitation Specialist to work in our residential program located in West Chester, PA. This position provides cognitive rehabilitation therapy services to clients with cognitive disorders and focuses on developing strategies for clients in areas of memory, executive function, comprehension, problem solving and conflict resolution. Works directly with the client and provides minimum to maximum assistance and/or supervision to promote the client's success in achieving identified treatment goals Completes therapy evaluation and interfaces with treatment team to set up initial treatment plan and establish priority treatment goals Train/educate families, funders, employers, significant others as needed to support the treatment and discharge plan Responsible for monitoring the client's treatment plan and progress toward goals; provides problem solving, conflict resolution and revision of goals and treatment plan as necessary
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field and work experience in one of the following areas: neuropsychology, speech language therapy, occupational therapy, special needs education or social work and ACBIS certification is required One-year of brain injury industry related experience is preferred Individuals working in this position must be credentialed as a cognitive rehabilitation specialist Level 1 within two years after starting their role. The required number of supervised hours spent performing direct client contact fieldwork (needed to complete Level 1 certification) will be supervised by the Clinical Director or their designee Collage Rehabilitation Partners is an equal employment opportunity employer. #JT
