The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology | Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition | Intestinal Rehabilitation and Aerodigestive Program is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary or specialty medical care within the outpatient specialty clinic setting. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI at the Children's Wisconsin hospital campus. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.Position Highlights:
Position will provide IP care for our Intesntial Rehabiliation and Aerodigestive programs Participates in inpatient consults, daily rounds, admissions, discharges, and postoperative management. Performs procedures as trained and appropriately credentialed Conducts outpatient clinic visits including new consultations, hospital follow-ups and chronic disease management Collaborates in comprehensive patient management including but not limited to obtaining complete medical histories, performing physical exams, ordering laboratory tests, and coordinating specialty consultative care for patients. Order and interpret screening and diagnostic tests and appropriately communicate and document information. Educates, counsels, and assists patients and families regarding current health problems and treatment plans Maintains required training and meets key regulatory requirements, including those of the privileging institution, CMS, and the Joint Commission.Schedule:
Full-time (1.0 FTE) role with expectations for coverage during core business hours: Monday through Friday. Salaried (Exempt) or Hourly (Non-Exempt).Department/Division Highlights:
Our Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition program is ranked in the top 20 of US News and World Report and is recognized as one of the premier pediatric gastroenterology programs in the country for our clinical and research excellence. We have extensive subspecialty expertise with services provided throughout the North and Southeast regions of Wisconsin, as well as a referral base nationally. Our program is comprised of 25 faculty members, 8 APNP's and 6 fellows who partner with a team of specialized nurse clinicians, dietitians, social workers, pediatric psychologists, and research staff.Qualifications:

Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.Physician Assistant:
