The Rehabilitation Specialist will play an essential role in the development, implementation, and oversight of individualized psychiatric rehabilitation services. This position will work collaboratively with PRP staff, clients, families, behavioral health providers, and other members of the client's support system to ensure rehabilitation services are individualized, goal-oriented, properly documented, and consistent with applicable program requirements. This is a hybrid contract position serving the Baltimore, Maryland area . The selected candidate must be available for required in-person meetings, training, and other on-site responsibilities. Responsibilities Complete and/or oversee comprehensive rehabilitation assessments and individualized rehabilitation planning for PRP participants. Develop and review Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs) based on each client's assessed strengths, needs, treatment recommendations, and rehabilitation goals. Ensure rehabilitation goals, objectives, and interventions are individualized, measurable, and clinically appropriate. Review client progress and update rehabilitation plans as required based on the client's needs and progress. Collaborate with rehabilitation counselors/direct-care staff regarding implementation of clients' rehabilitation goals and interventions. Provide guidance and support to PRP staff regarding rehabilitation planning, service delivery, documentation, and client progress. Review clinical and rehabilitation documentation for quality, completeness, and consistency with the client's IRP. Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, families/guardians, referral sources, and other members of the client's treatment or support team as appropriate. Assist with identifying barriers to clients' progress and developing appropriate rehabilitation strategies. Participate in case reviews, staff meetings, supervision, training, and quality-improvement activities as required. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the organization's electronic health record (EHR). Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational confidentiality requirements. Assist the organization with maintaining compliance with applicable Maryland PRP requirements, organizational policies, and accreditation standards. Perform other rehabilitation-related responsibilities consistent with the scope of the Rehabilitation Specialist role. Qualifications Applicants must meet the organization's applicable qualification requirements for the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist position. Qualified candidates should possess an appropriate behavioral health professional credential or psychiatric rehabilitation credential applicable to the position, such as: CPRP
  • Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner CFRP
  • Certified Family Recovery Practitioner LMSW
  • Licensed Master Social Worker LCSW-C
  • Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical Candidates must maintain any required license or certification in good standing.
Preferred Experience Experience working in a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) or other community-based behavioral health setting. Experience developing or reviewing Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs), treatment/service plans, or similar person-centered plans. Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles and person-centered, recovery-oriented services. Experience working with adults and/or children and adolescents with behavioral health needs. Strong clinical documentation and written communication skills. Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality, and behavioral health documentation requirements. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

The primary focus of this position is rehabilitation planning, clinical/rehabilitation oversight, documentation review, staff support, and ensuring the quality and appropriateness of rehabilitation services.
