Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Take on a dynamic, full-time role as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students with a range of needs, from mild to severe, in a forward-thinking educational setting near Marana, AZ. This school-based position is contract-based for the full school year and offers the unique opportunity to collaborate across approximately three sites, making a real impact in the lives of students and their families. Your expertise will be valued by a district ready to provide supervision and a collaborative environment dedicated to student growth and well-being.
Qualifications:
Active COTA license required. IVP Fingerprint Card (or eligibility for one) is necessary. Prior experience in school-based settings preferred, especially working with diverse student needs. Strong communication skills and adaptability for itinerant service delivery.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services as directed by supervising therapists across multiple school sites. Support students with mild to severe needs, promoting independence in academic and functional tasks. Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports. Collaborate with teachers, specialists, families, and the supervising OT to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Adjust interventions as needed, utilizing creative problem-solving in a school environment. Adhere to district policies and up-to-date therapy practices.
