Job Description

Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a dynamic school environment near Maricopa, AZ. This contract position offers the chance to work full-time, providing hands-on assistance to children in developmental preschool settings and throughout the district. You'll play an essential part in helping students successfully achieve their goals by supporting their daily activities and collaborating with an Occupational Therapist for effective care. The schedule is consistent, typically running Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, allowing you to make a difference while maintaining work-life balance.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Arizona Experience or interest working with children, particularly in school or pediatric settings Ability to manage a busy caseload and adapt to multiple school locations Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families Professional, dependable, and comfortable working exclusively onsite
Primary Responsibilities:
Support up to 40 developmental preschool students and up to 50 students as a COTA under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Deliver direct therapy services, following prescribed intervention plans Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed Contribute to interdisciplinary IEP teams, providing insights from therapy sessions Travel within the district to various sites as required This full-time contract position offers you a chance to make a daily impact in students' lives by fostering their independence and success within the school setting.
